When the Stars Go Blue

So on December 8th, I went to the Christmas Dance. It was butt fun. I went with Josh Bates...he's a good friend and goes to East High. Dalton was also in my group haha. He went with my friend Katy. For our day activity, we went to Temple Square the day before on Friday. After that, we went to Katy's house and watched Disturbia. We planned it to be on Friday since Josh had a wrestling tournament, but he found out the day before that it was a 2 day tournament. So I was dateless; along with Liz, whose date was lame and didn't come. Lindsay did Katy, Liz's, and my hair on Saturday. On Saturday when I was putting Josh's boutonniere, the rose fell off. It was bad news. That night we had a steak & shrimp dinner at our house with Todd as our server. It was WAY good. We went to the dance in a limo, which was really fun. Then while we were waiting for our ride to come, we went downstairs at the Union Ballroom and watched Rocky IV. After the dance, we were going to make gingerbread houses, but when we got here we were all so tired we didn't really want to do anything...we watched Hitch instead. So basically it was really fun.

First Date

So on November 10th, I went to harvest finally. It was really fun. On Friday, we roasted marshmallows and quoted movies around the fire, then went inside and played mafia. Then we came to our house and watched Ocean's 11. On Saturday we had Wendy's and then went to the dance. After that, we watched Major Payne, which was hilarious. The pictures that we took at the school were definitely the worst pictures of my life. I won't post them, I'll post the pictures Jared's mom took when we picked him up. Haha but it was really fun, I'm glad I went.

Halloween Party

On Saturday, our sunday school class was in charge of a Halloween party for the kids with spinabifida at Primary Children's. We had a bunch of games for them, it was pretty fun. I dressed up as Cruella Deville as a last minute costume. After the party, some of us tried to walk through the drive thru at Wendy's to get frosties...they wouldn't let us. We failed. It was great fun.

Harvest

So basically, I turn 16 in exactly one week! It's pretty sweet. The harvest dance was supposed to be on the 3rd of November, so I wouldn't be able to go. The state volleyball tournament was that day too, so Britny, a senior on the team, told the SBO that if they didn't change it, she would ask him to Harvest so he wouldn't be able to go. So they changed it to November 10th. So I could go! I asked Jared Vanhille. To ask him I put a package of hot dogs and buns on his porch with a note that said "Don't be a wiener, drag your buns to harvest with me!" I was going to throw hot dogs at him, but Amy demoted that idea. He answered me a few days later with three Depends diapers sitting on the porch filled with peas. He had a note that said "When you asked me to the harvest dance, I went and 'pea-ed' my pants. Now if we go together, it all 'Depends' on if you find my answer." We are going as a volleyball team as G.I. Joe's and G.I. Jane's. For our activity we're having dinner, playing football, then roasting marshmallows in the mountains. It'll be fun.

New Babe!

So basically, since Amy hasn't joined the "bloggers" yet, I'll show off the pics of her new baby! They named her Maggie Leigh Smith. She weighed 8 lb. 10 oz. She has a chin just like Country Mike, and long fingers like Amy. Who knows what color hair she has...I hope it's red :) But she's dang cute....she has a little dimple on her left cheek. Averi wanted it to be a girl, and Briggs wanted it to be a boy. Even after she was born, Briggs was still convinced it was a boy....and was wondering where his "pee-pee" was. Hahaha, it was hilarious. He was also glad that the baby was finally out of there, so that he could lay with his mom normally.

The First Official Blog....kinda.

So here's the first blog of the family you never thought would have one. Mom didn't feel like doing it now....but our page looked quite boring, so I added a blog for no reason at all. The fonts for these things are pretty lame. But it's official, we have a blog! Hopefully we'll have a real one soon.
p.s. Let's all go grab a salad!
